There's a new NFL Mock Draft out there by Matt Miller of ESPN, and it is unsurprisingly bland on the Washington Huskies. There are only four Huskies getting drafted in his mock, and not one of them is at their comp location. All four are drafted later than other pundits and mock drafts have them.
Not to mention that Carver Willis isn't in the list at all, even though he's met with about 30 NFL Teams ahead of the draft. While that doesn't guarantee he will be drafted, some could be working on UDFA relationships before the draft. It certainly means there's a market for the standout offensive lineman who can play any position on the line.
Here's where each of them falls in the ESPN NFL Mock Draft:
Denzel Boston - 2nd Round, No. 36, Las Vegas Raiders
Boston could drop into the second round, but it's unlikely. He's one of the best receivers in the NFL Draft, and yet it appears he has various grades by NFL Scouts. There are mocks that have him up into the teens of the first round, while others have him at the bottom of the first. There are a few, like Miller, who have him in the second.
Jonah Coleman - 5th Round, No. 172, New Orleans Saints
This is an insanely low grade for Coleman as he's considered by many to be a third-round pick. To Miller's credit, running backs are truly hard to predict in NFL Mock Drafts. For NFL team's may take a few early but then wait for rounds before more disappear. However, Coleman is elite in so many ways and won't slip this far.
Tacario Davis - 6th Round, No. 184, Tennessee Titans
Davis and Prysock both have the same thing going for them: they are the longest and tallest elite corners in the NFL Draft. Each of them will get picked up earlier than expected because of their intangibles. Davis, however, really elevated his draft stock recently and won't be slipping this far down in the draft. It would be surprising.
Ephesians Prysock - 7th Round, No. 222, Detroit Lions
Miller may have a serious hate issue with the Huskies, or he's simply not paying attention. Prysock is going to be a mid-round pick, and it would be a complete shock if he slipped this low. It's hard to know how those late rounds will shake out, but this is a really low comp compared to others.
Not to mention this puts Carver Willis as undrafted, and he will also be selected. While he may be a late-round pick, he's got too much buzz not to have a team take him. His versatility alone will have one team go, "Let's get this guy!"
