Carver Willis isn't getting much media recognition ahead of the NFL Draft. However, it seems as if that's only publicly; privately, NFL teams are lining up to talk with Willis, both virtually and in person. He's stacked up 30 visits, which is an incredible amount. That means only two teams haven't contacted him.

For a player who is projected to go towards the bottom of the NFL Draft, why is there so much interest? Well, it helps that Willis has the ability to play every position along the offensive line, and his versatility is going to create a demand. Offensive lines are the most injured position group in the NFL, and having depth behind the starters that can slide in and play any spot is a huge commodity.

Former Husky Carver Willis will bring versatility to the NFL along the offensive line

Right now, Willis is being mocked as a 6th or 7th round pick, yet, as mentioned above, there's quiet on the media front for Willis but a ton of NFL team engagement. According to the article above by Justin M, his stock is starting to rise ahead of the NFL Draft, and it's due to his versatility.

Willis was only a one-year player for the Washington Huskies, but he said that one year prepared him to be a pro more than any other year in college. He said it's a decision that he calls the best decision of his life. Everything the Huskies did and do prepared him for these 30 visits. He has the mindset and the skill to be a valuable NFL player.

It will be interesting to see where the ultimately lands in the NFL Draft, but 30 teams is an incredible amount of interest, and there could be one that ends up taking a flier on him earlier than the rest.

The NFL Draft is on April 23–25, 2026.
