The Washington Huskies' three-headed offensive monster of Demond Williams Jr., Jonah Coleman, and Denzel Boston has been terrorizing defenses all year long -- with Williams and Coleman previously winning the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award during the 2025 season.
Boston now joins his quarterback and running back teammates, as he was awarded the honor for Week 9 after his outstanding performance against No. 23 Illinois. The junior wide receiver has been a dominant force for the Huskies for the past two seasons, but had his best game yet this past Saturday.
He recorded a career-high 10 receptions and 153 receiving yards, while also catching a crucial touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to put the Huskies up by three possessions.
More people really need to talk about Denzel Boston 📈🚀

But Boston's coolest highlight of the day came when he threw the ball. On a trick play called by coach Jedd Fisch, Williams threw a backwards pass to Boston on the left side of the field, who immediately reversed it across the field to a wide-open Jonah Coleman for six points.
The play went in the books as a 12-yard passing touchdown for Boston, his first passing attempt of his collegiate career. He has a receiving, rushing, punt return, and now passing touchdown on his resume.
Trickeration to take the lead 😲

This is now Washington's third different player to win the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, and fifth total time it has happened in 2025 -- as Williams and Coleman both earned the honor twice. Coleman did so in Week 1 and Week 2, while Williams did in Week 4 and Week 7.
It can be argued that Williams could've shared honors with Boston this week, as the Huskies quarterback also had a stellar performance -- throwing for 280 yards on a 78% clip for four touchdowns and no interceptions. Instead, it was Michigan's running back Justice Haynes receiving co-honors for Week 9 after rushing for 152 yards and two touchdowns.
Regardless, Boston now being given his flowers is a deserving moment of recognition for Washington's most consistent offensive weapon. Now averaging 83.5 receiving yards per game, he is up to 668 total -- well on pace to surpass his 834 from a season ago. His seven receiving touchdowns are second in the Big Ten, and his 44 receptions are fifth.
Boston is quickly rising Washington's all-time ranks in receiving stats, as he's now top-25 in receptions, yards, and touchdowns -- with plenty of games left to position himself even higher alongside Husky legends like Reggie Williams, Jermaine Kearse, and Rome Odunze.
Soon, Boston will look to join players like them in the NFL, as he's currently projected to forgo his senior season and enter the 2026 draft as one of the top wide receiver prospects in the first round.
