Washington took care of business against an FCS opponent it heavily outclassed, scoring on every single one of its offensive drives in a dominant 70-10 victory. The Huskies had 628 total yards of offense (324 rushing, 304 passing) with five different players scoring touchdowns.

Five of those touchdowns belonged to running back Jonah Coleman – a career high for him, and the fourth player in Washington history to rush for five touchdowns in the game. He found the end zone a third of the time he touched the ball on a rush, as he only had 15 attempts, for 111 yards.

That makes it 288 total rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the season, both tops in all of college football. Coleman deserves some early recognition as a Heisman contender, even if Washington's competition hasn't been the greatest so far.

The other Huskies' touchdowns were scored by Demond Williams Jr. on a quarterback rush, Denzel Boston on a 78-yard punt return, Dezmen Roebuck with his first career score on a 47-yard catch and run, transfer quarterback Kai Horton on an option play, and an Adam Mohammed rush. The 10 total touchdowns are a Washington all-time record.

Williams Jr. finished his night with a solid 254-yard outing, completing 16 of his 25 passes (64%). He also recorded a passing touchdown, although most of the effort on that play was done by Roebuck after a simple touch pass.

Furthermore, the defense stepped up and didn't allow UC Davis to score after a bit of a sloppy first half. Buddah Al-Uqdah led the way with five tackles, Zach Durfee, Jacob Lane, and Isaiah Ward all recorded a sack, and Tacario Davis made an interception.

Most of the starters on both offense and defense were able to get an early rest in the blowout, and they will get even more rest, as UW has a bye week next week. After that, the Huskies will take on rival Washington State in Pullman.

The Husky Haul will provide plenty of coverage for that matchup while also continuing our analysis from this game, but for now, no need to nitpick any negatives from this game. It's a late night, let's bask in the glory of victory and an epic start to Jonah Coleman's season.
