Folks, the offseason is truly here. There’s not a ton going on. But spring football is right around the corner and Jedd Fisch really seems to be defending the institution of spring games against the weird movement away from having college football fun in the offseason.

Oh, and the Huskies are getting some nice recognition here and there with various forms of offseason content. That’s fun and worth celebrating, if you ask me.

So, let’s go over some Washington Husky news, shall we?

Washington Husky news from The Husky Haul:

Reliving Washington Husky football history

Look, I’ve been going through the football record books and reliving a bit of Washington Husky football history. And you know what I’ve found? Some really cool records here and there. And a ton of really successful players.

So, I’ve been writing about it and compiling some of their stories and trying to share a bit about fun stuff, like really explosive rushing plays that don’t end up in a touchdown. I’ve been writing about them as well.

I’ll figure out the best way to catalog all of these articles together. But for now, just know that there are some really cool stats that I’m going through and working on sharing on a regular basis.

And so, here you go, I think you should take a listen to Casey Donahew’s Josie Escalido:

One of these days I’ll get around to writing more about why I love this song so much, but the condensed version that you need to know is this:

It’s such a drastically different song from what I had known Donahew for prior to stumbling across this song a few years back. And also I like westerns and songs that do great storytelling and songs that do great storytelling that make me feel like I’m listening to a western. This song is just great all around at accomplishing all of that.
