And here we are. The top run on this fun adventure that we’re on of exploring niche stats and finding impressive plays that happen to not have a touchdown attached to them. In this case, we’re talking (once again) about Napoleon Kaufman (who has an absolutely incredible and legendary name, I’m a huge fan of his name, it rocks).

Previously, when we talked about Kaufman and his ability to have a run that gained a lot of yards but still not end up in the end zone, we were discussing how he managed to run for 70 yards against the Arizona State Sun Devils in 1992.

That run is currently good enough to be tied for No. 7 on the list of the longest runs that didn't have a touchdown attached to them in Washington Husky football history. This one against the UCLA Bruins? The longest of such runs? Well, it went for a grand total of 79 yards.

Washington Husky football history: Napoleon Lewis takes the crown of longest runs without a touchdown with 79 yards vs. UCLA in 1994

It truly is an impressive feat and we are going to recognize it as such. Napoleon Lewis is the emperor of running for a lot of yards on one single play and not scoring a rushing touchdown. He gets the crown.

In this 1994 win over the UCLA Bruins, Kaufman managed to run for 227 yards on an impressive 34 carries throughout the game. This all came during a remarkable season in which he ran for 1390 yards.

Oh, and he did get a rushing touchdown in this game against the Bruins. It just wasn’t on this specific play.

In the entirety of Kaufman’s incredible Washington Husky football career, he managed to run for 4,106 yards and score 34 touchdowns. He’s one of the most productive rushers in UW’s history. And he owns this record, which is fun.
