Demond Williams Jr. may have stole the show in the Washington Huskies' 38-19 win over Rutgers, but he couldn't do it without his offensive weapons. Wide receiver Denzel Boston and running back Jonah Coleman contributed heavily in the victory, continuing their productive pace to the 2025 season.

Boston has been Williams' favorite target since last season, and he again proved it Friday with a team-high five receptions. Two of those catches went for touchdowns -- the first from 23 yards to get the Huskies on the scoreboard in the second quarter, and the second from 38 to give the Dawgs their first double-digit lead of the night.

Both touchdowns he scored were were made on plays most other receivers fail at. The first was a contested catch with the Rutgers defender's arm in between the ball and Boston's face, not only blocking his vision, but also in perfect position to dislodge the ball. Boston tracked it perfectly, and his strong hands were able to hold on the ball as he was falling down.

The second looked a bit easier at first glance, but replays showed how elusive Boston's route running was to get him open on a deep ball, and how he was able to stop on a dime to shake off his defender to comfortably catch a ball that was slightly underthrown by Williams. Again, Boston's ball-tracking skills proved to be just as lethal as his physical prowess.

On the season, Boston is now up to 30 receptions for 444 yards and six touchdowns, and he has also returned a punt for a touchdown. No other Husky has more than two receiving touchdowns, with Boston's six also being tied for third in the nation -- as one player has eight, and only a handful of others have seven.

However, the most impressive stat of Boston's season was posted on social media by PFF following Friday's game: on 40 targets, Boston hasn't dropped a single ball. That level of consistency not only underscores his reliable hands, but also highlights the polish and poise of a receiver who looks every bit like a prospect that's been projected to go in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft.

Meanwhile, Coleman also boosted his stats in Washington's win over Rutgers. Usually the face of the Huskies' offensive identity, Coleman took a bit of a backseat to Williams -- only carrying the ball 14 times for 44 yards, in comparison to Williams who rushed for 136 yards. However, Coleman did punch in another rushing touchdown, increasing his FBS-leading total to 11 on the season. That touchdown also gave the Huskies their first lead early in the second half, one that they never looked back on.

Coleman has now led the country in rushing touchdowns since the Week 2 of the 2025 season, when he exploded for six of them against UC Davis. His single receiving touchdown to boost his total scrimmage scores to 12 is also tops in the nation. Coleman has now recorded 518 rushing yards on 96 attempts (5.4 yards per carry) this season, well on his way to another 1,000-yard season and being considered one of the best running backs in college football.

The running back position isn't as highly valued as others in the NFL Draft's early rounds, but Coleman should easily be able to find a home at the next level, as well. One thing that's for sure is that if Williams, Boston, and Coleman continue the pace they're on for the rest of the season, Washington should be in strong contention for its third appearance in the College Football Playoff.
