The Washington Huskies may not have commitment from Vander Ploog anymore, but losing the 4-star tight end from California to the Oregon Ducks hasn’t really drastically impacted Washington’s recruiting class right now.

In fact, the Washington Huskies’ 2025 recruiting class is still holding on to a solid spot in the top 20. With 26 commitments (seven of which are from 4-star athletes), Washington is able to hold on to the No. 19 spot in the latest recruiting class rankings.

Jedd Fisch is doing a pretty decent job on the recruiting trail right now. Heck, the Huskies are holding the No. 6 spot in the Big Ten at the moment. You’d like to see UW a bit higher up, but that’s pretty solid.

2025 recruiting class rankings: Where are the Washington Huskies after UW lost Vander Ploog’s commitment?

Here’s what the top 25 recruiting classes look like right now, according to the good folks over at 247 Sports:

  • Alabama Crimson Tide (23 commits)
  • Ohio State Buckeyes (26 commits)
  • Georgia Bulldogs (24 commits)
  • LSU Tigers (27 commits)
  • Auburn Tigers (27 commits)
  • Texas Longhorns (22 commits)
  • Texas A&M Aggies (22 commits)
  • Tennessee Volunteers (24 commits)
  • Oregon Ducks (16 commits)
  • USC Trojans (23 commits)
  • Michigan Wolverines (19 commits)
  • Miami Hurricanes (22 commits)
  • Oklahoma Sooners (21 commits)
  • Notre Dame Fighting Irish (23 commits)
  • Penn State Nittany Lions (26 commits)
  • Clemson Tigers (14 commits)
  • Missouri Tigers (15 commits)
  • Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (21 commits)
  • Washington Huskies (26 commits)
  • Kentucky Wildcats (21 commits)
  • Ole Miss Rebels (18 commits)
  • South Carolina Gamecocks (21 commits)
  • TCU Horned Frogs (24 commits)
  • Maryland Terrapins (23 commits)
  • SMU Mustangs (23 commits)

That’s not really all that bad of a spot for the Washington Huskies to be in. It’s obviously not the best ranking ever for Jedd Fisch’s first full recruiting class, but it’s worth noting that it could always be so much worse. And if Fisch can finish the season strong, maybe we see the Huskies move up a bit here in these rankings.

The Early Signing Period will get underway sooner than later and the Huskies have a decent class assembled. Now we just wait and see how it all unfolds.
