The 2025 season is now officially in the books with Indiana on top and everyone else wishing they could be. As the book is closed on the 2025 season, the oddsmakers have put forth odds for next year's National Champion. Washington is among the top-25 teams listed. While they don't have the best odds, they're better than many expected.
According to FanDuel, Washington has +10,000 odds to win the National Championship. Which isn't amazing odds in a vacuum, but when considering that hundreds of teams are vying for the National Championship, Washington lands at 24th in the best odds given to teams.
They are tied for 7th in the Big Ten in terms of odds, followed by Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon, USC, Michigan, and Penn State. They have the same odds as Iowa.
It would be interesting to see how high the odds would be if there wasn't extra drama with Demond Williams Jr. ahead of the odds being set. Maybe that mattered, maybe it didn't. It's hard not to think that Washington couldn't or shouldn't have similar odds to USC or Michigan.
Jedd Fisch's track record gives optimism to next season for the Huskies

Jedd Fisch has elevated every season he's been a head coach, both at Arizona and Washington. Each season has had a better record than the last, giving Vegas some optimism that the same will hold this season. Which would put them not only inside the top-25 rankings but also in the College Football Playoff conversation. Washington had nine wins this season. A couple more, and they are hanging out in that conversation.
Alabama got in with only 10 wins, and yes, it's Alabama, but the bar is somewhere around 10-11 wins to be in contention for the playoff. If Washington didn't let lowly Wisconsin beat them, that was a realistic scenario.
Either way, Vegas is high on the Dawgs for next season and hopefully the Huskies rise even higher.
