13. Preston Stone - Northwestern Wildcats

2,174 yards, 14 TD, 12 INT

Preston Stone led an overachieving Northwestern season, going 6-6 to become bowl-eligible despite coming into the year projected to be one of the worst Big Ten teams. However, his touchdown-to-interception ratio was among the worst in the conference, and he didn't have any particularly standout performances aside from a game in Week 13 that earned him Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors.

14. Nico Iamaleava - UCLA Bruins

1,928 yards, 13 TD, 7 INT

Perhaps the most disappointing player on this list, Nico Iamaleava's 2025 was not friendly towards him. It started with four-straight losses to begin the season, and ended with rumors that the former five-star recruit may have to again transfer down to a lower-tier program. After having a decent season for a Tennessee team that made the CFP in 2024, Iamaleava's fall from grace has become a cautionary tale about the dark side of the NIL era.

15. Drew Allar - Penn State Nittany Lions

1,100 yards, 8 TD, 3 INT

Drew Allar also had a disappointing year, as his season was cut short by an injury after leading the Nittany Lions to a mediocre 3-3 start despite entering the season as the No. 2 team in the nation. Allar narrowly edged out Ethan Grunkemeyer in pass attempts for Penn State, but both finished with a similar stat line. Once one of the top-rated quarterbacks for the 2026 NFL Draft, Allar's future is now highly uncertain.

16. Ryan Browne - Purdue Boilermakers

2,153 yards, 9 TD, 10 INT

Ryan Browne deserves a lot of credit for keeping Purdue somewhat competitive despite its 2-10 record and his poor passing stats. The Boilermakers had decent showings in nearly every one of their losses, and while Browne probably isn't their answer at quarterback moving forward, it's still probably a better result for him after being pushed out of UNC by Bill Belichick.

17. Aidan Chiles - Michigan State Spartans

1,392 yards, 10 TD, 3 INT

Aidan Chiles has always been considered a high-upside college quarterback, but an injury-riddled 2025 season that saw the Spartans go 4-8 and have their head coach fired puts a huge question mark on Chiles' future. He put up decent numbers in Michigan State's three non-conference wins to begin the season, but was horrendous in all but one of the ensuing five losses to Big Ten opponents.

18. Hunter Simmons - Wisconsin Badgers

664 yards, 2 TD, 7 INT

Wisconsin fielded four different quarterbacks in 2025, with Hunter Simmons ultimately getting the most snaps. As you'd expect by his stat line, the Badgers' passing attack was awful throughout their 4-8 campaign. Hilariously, punter Sean West was the team's leading passer in Wisconsin's upset victory over Washington -- a true indicator of just how badly the program needs a new answer at quarterback.
