If you enjoy drinking beer, supporting NIL efforts, and watching Washington Husky football, then I’ve got some great news for you. As Jedd Fisch and his Huskies get set to get the 2024 Washington Husky football season underway with the move into the Big Ten, some exciting changes are happening at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.
Most of those changes have to do with the coaching staff, the roster, the new athletics director, but there are things that are happening that more directly impact fan experience.
One of the most intriguing changes that Washington is unveiling for this season is the way the Washington Huskies will be selling a beer that directly supports NIL efforts in Seattle. So, again, if you want to drink beer and support the Huskies (in more ways than one), then you’ve got some great news here.
Washington’s selling of Redhook Montlake Gameday Gold Lager will benefit NIL efforts for Huskies
Husky football fans that are old enough to legally drink while at a Washington Huskies football game this season will be able to check out the Redhook Montlake Gameday Gold Lager. As noted in the UW news release on the matter, the beer is the official beer of Montlake Futures.
For those that aren’t aware, Montlake Futures is the NIL collective that benefits athletes at the University of Washington. So, the purchases of Redhook Montlake Gameday Gold Lager will go to supporting the Washington Huskies.
Oh, and while the beer is not in Seattle-area stores just yet, give it some time and it will be there soon, per the news release.
Washington football improves concession options at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium for 2024 Huskies season
The NIL beer sales aren’t the only new concession change that’s happening at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium this season.
There are two new Drink Market locations in the stadium as part of an effort to reduce lines and improve the experience at gamedays. These new locations have been added outside sections 106 and 129 and they feature self-service checkout kiosks.
Over in section 110, Husky Express has been renovated to provide a grab-and-go self-service checkout experience as well.
It’s the little things in life, but these things add up. These sorts of enhancements are exciting to see as the University of Washington is committed to provide the best possible gameday experience for Washington Husky football fans. Oh, and they’re being pretty clever about NIL support as well. It’s cool to see.
