Washington is in desperate need of a top-tier quarterback after Demond Williams Jr. stabbed them in the back and hit the portal. It's been a wild couple of days for the Huskies, but Jedd Fisch is not wasting any time in exploring the options out there. He now has to find a quarterback he can trust to run the high-powered offense he dreams about at night.

The first of many, according to Pete Nakos of On3.com, is Beau Pribula. Who, unlike Williams, is actually in the portal from the Missouri Tigers. Here's the scoop:

Washington is hosting Beau Pribula as a potential replacement to Demond Williams Jr.

Pribula is rated as the 15th-best quarterback in the transfer portal. He's got skill as he went for nearly 2,000 yards this season in the air and 11 touchdowns. He can also take off and run, and did that 95 times this last season for 297 yards and six touchdowns.

He's not on the same level as Williams, but Husky fans will need to ask how much of it is the system and how much Fisch elevates the quarterback. He's good, but he's not great. He was the backup at Penn State for a reason and ended up using the transfer portal to find a starting job. He did that at Missouri and is now back in it, looking for a better program.

He could be a great fit, but Husky fans may want to see what other options Fisch is exploring before they put their eggs in the Pribula basket. Many are still reeling from Williams's departure, and it's hard to wrap your head around the next quarterback. Others are already knee-deep into finding the best fit for the Huskies next season.

Either way, Fisch can't waste time as many of the top quarterbacks have already been signed out of the portal.
