Washington has been active in the high ceiling but relatively inexpensive WR market since the opening of the transfer portal. Yet, head coach Jedd Fisch has been consistently striking out. Whether that's the playing time opportunity, the NIL money, or the fact that there was some uncertainty around Demond Williams Jr. However, today, Fisch reeled in the "X" receiver Washington has been looking for to replace Denzel Boston.

The Huskies received a commitment from former Kennesaw State receiver Christian Moss. He's a 6'3, 200-pound receiver who had 45 catches and 689 yards with two touchdowns as a junior last year. He has one more year of eligibility left, having played one season at Virginia Tech before two at Kennesaw State.

Moss was a 3-star recruit out of High School, but after having a relatively lackluster redshirt freshman season for the Hokies, he decided to move on to Kennesaw State. While his sophomore year wasn't that much better for Kennesaw State, he did more than double his output, catching 14 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns.

Last season was his best yet in college, putting on a bit more weight and becoming a veteran did him wonders as he became the X-factor in the passing game for Kennesaw State. He caught 45 passes for 689 yards and two touchdowns. If those stats were inserted into the Huskies' last season, that would have put him in second behind Denzel Boston.

Which is part of the hope for the Huskies, that maybe Moss can come in and be that X receiver for the Dawgs, taking Boston's spot. Not to mention that he brings experience that the room is currently woefully missing. Most of the talent is in the first or second year of football.

It's a big addition for the Dawgs, and Jedd Fisch can now take a deep breath and fill out the other holes without so much scrutiny from the fanbase.
