It was only hours after experts had predicted 4-star quarterback Black Roskopf would commit to the Washington Huskies, that he went and pulled the trigger. Jedd Fisch has now landed one of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 class. Coming in at No. 10 according to On3.com and No. 12 on 24/7 Sports. He's big, strong, and can sling the ball all over the field.

At 6'5 and 235 pounds, Roskopf turns a lot of heads naturally with his size and frame, but he also has the ability to be accurate at every level of the field. Washington was able to get him to commit over the other programs chasing him, like North Carolina, Oregon, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Auburn, to name just a few. Roskopf had 30+ scholarship offers.

One of the primary recruiters for Roskopf was fellow high school teammate, 4-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney. Sidney has been committed to the Huskies since the end of January. He now brings some of that natural chemistry with him to Montlake. Roskopf and Sidney are used to making the downfield connections at Desert Edge High School in Goodyear, Arizona.

This is now the 11th commitment for the 2027 recruiting class and Jedd Fisch. With the inclusion of Roskopf, the Huskies are now ranked 5th in the country for recruiting in that class. Washington now has three 4-stars in the class, according to 24/7 Sports. The highest-ranked commit is defensive lineman Jon Ioane, followed by Roskopf and then Sidney.

It's a great haul already for the Huskies, and Roskopf looks like he has all the tools to develop into being an excellent signal-caller for Washington and Jedd Fisch down the road. He's the first quarterback commitment in the class, and it's a big and important one.
