The Washington Huskies have desperately missed cornerback Tacario Davis, a transfer from Arizona, who is probably the team's best defensive player. The 6-foot-4 senior played the first two games of the season against Colorado State and UC Davis, but has since missed the next three games due to a rib injury he sustained while making an interception against UC Davis.

Questionable

Davis is officially listed on the injury report as questionable for tonight's contest against Rutgers, but likely leans towards playing. Earlier this week, Washington defensive coordinator Ryan Walters said Davis "was close" and "itching to come back", while coach Jedd Fisch said he along with defensive tackle Jayvon Parker, "should be available."

This is a great sign for a Huskies defense that will have to contend with three formidable Rutgers wide receivers. It seems as if Davis has been practicing for the last two weeks, and is finally ready to get some in-game action.

Alongside Davis and Parker, defensive end Zach Durfee, linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, safety CJ Christian, wide receiver Rashid Williams, and tackle Carver Willis are all listed as questionable with injuries.

Offensive lineman John Mills, seen wearing a walking boot last weekend in the middle of the Maryland game, has no clear injury status yet, but stay tuned to this page for any updates.

Out

As expected, Taariq "Buddah" Al-Uqdah will miss tonight's game against Rutgers after sustaining a significant leg injury during the Apple Cup. It's still unclear when, or if, he will return this season, a huge blow as the Huskies defense loses when of its top linebackers.

Tight end Charlie Crowell is also out as he continues to work his way back from a torn ACL, and defensive backs Rahim Wright II and Dyson McCutcheon have both been ruled out for the season.

Washington and Rutgers kick off tonight at 6:00 p.m. PT.
