The Washington Huskies were enjoying the sunny and low 60s weather on Saturday. It was a spring practice full of positive moments and energy until the end, when Jordan Washington had a scary incident. Because of how he went down, the UW medical staff wanted to take him to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.

He never lost consciousness and was moving all his extremities, but there it was enough of an incident to cause the medical staff to want to be sure he didn't have a major issue. They put him on a backboard and sent him off in an ambulance.

He posted on social media later in the day, "Much love to you, I appreciate you! I'm all good."

Jordan Washington updates his own injury status with, "I'm all good."

While the immediate news was already good with no other signs of head/neck trauma, his update later was great news. There has yet to be an official update from the team, and no notice on how long he will be sidelined, if at all. But for now, his ability to shoot out a post that says he's all good is huge news.

Washington is a redshirt sophomore this year with a ton of potential in the Jedd Fisch offense. Last season, he had 27 carries, 233 yards, and one touchdown. He should have a more expanded role this season, even with a full stable of Husky running backs.

He showed some big play potential, averaging 8.6 yards per carry, and his ability to stretch the field in more gadget-style plays, while also being able to run between the tackles. The Huskies are planning to have a big season, and Washington will be needed.

The next update should be from the Washington Huskies official account or Jedd Fisch himself. Or it may be that reporters see him back on the spring sidelines at the next spring practice.
