Hannes Steinbach may indeed find himself as a top-10 pick. The NBA valuation has him as a lottery pick, but he has been in Mock Drafts all over the place in the first round. It would be surprising if he slipped past 20, but he could be 15 or 11 or even inside the top-10. His measurements at the NBA Combine helped his stock a ton, but until the draft actually happens, it's hard to know where he will land.
One NBA Big Board has him in the top-10 now officially. Yahoo has updated the NBA Consensus Big Board, and Steinbach lands at exactly No. 10, which sends him past a few players that were considered ahead of him, like Yaxel Lendeborg.

The nine players ahead of him are no surprises and will probably all find their names called in the top-10: AJ Dybansta, Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer, Caleb Wilson, Keaton Wagler, Brayden Burries, Darius Acuff, Mikel Brown Jr., and Kingston Flemings.
It will be interesting to see how Steinbach lands in the NBA Draft. He continues to get the label of "safe." As in, he's not a player that will bust. Some of these lottery picks have a boom or bust quality to them. They could end up being NBA All-Stars or G-League or maybe even worse. Steinbach is considered an NBA journeyman on the floor. He does have some thinking he could go on to have a successful NBA career with all-star caliber abilities, but his floor is far closer than others in his class.
Why? Because he knows how to get baskets at every level, he can get rebounds like they are going out of style, and he plays with a type of hustle that comes naturally and easily.
The NBA Draft is at the end of the month on June 23-24.
