Former Washington Husky and one of the top recruits ever to suit up for the purple and gold, Isaiah Stewart, has quite the reputation going for him in the NBA. He's now known as the player who's ready to throw hands. At any point and at any time, if a scuffle breaks out, Stewart jumps into the mix and is ready to fight.
The latest was in the Detroit Pistons vs. Charlotte Hornets game, in which Stewart wasn't even involved in the play. He was sitting on the bench, and a couple of players started jawing, pushing, and shoving, and before you know it, Stewart is in there throwing punches. This has given him the social media meme treatment.

There are probably a dozen people who posted a GIF of someone running as hard as they can and saying, "Isaiah Stewart running towards a fight." Here's an example:

You may think this makes Stewart the villain in the NBA, but the vast majority of NBA fans love that Stewart is this way. Ready to defend his team and friends, he's not often picking fights, but he's ready to throw down if a fight comes. Rod Beard in the social media post below said it best:
I don't care what type of situation it is -- basketball, chess, pickleball, Chutes & Ladders, frozen tag, double-dutch jump rope, Mahjong, trust-fall exercise, dominoes or whatever -- I would want #Pistons Isaiah Stewart on my team.

For Stewart, it's an expensive hobby, as he continues to pile up ejections, fines, and suspensions. He's now the second-most-ejected Detroit Pistons player of all time. ESPN with the shocking stat, "Isaiah Stewart has been ejected eight times, breaking a tie with Jerry Stackhouse for second-most on the Pistons since 1997-98 behind only Richard Hamilton (11)."
The full suspension or fine hasn't been revealed yet for Stewart on this dust-up, but it's coming, and by now, he's used to it. Not sure if Husky fans should be proud, ashamed, or indifferent, but he's certainly making a name for himself in the NBA.
