The Washington Huskies continue to struggle with injuries; there have been 11 players throughout the season who have missed time due to injuries. They only had 10 total players available against Minnesota, yet was still able to come out with a victory. The most recent injury was to Bryson Tucker, who injured his thumb earlier in the week during practice.
Danny Sprinkle, after the Minnesota win, gave an update on Tucker and the timetable for his return. While his update wasn't definite and deferred to the trainer mostly, here's exactly what he said:
"I don't know. Hopefully this week he can heal up pretty quick. I can't guess. I actually probably shouldn't say anything because I don't know. I'd have to actually check with our trainer. Bryson's got that brace on his right hand. It looks like the same one Wesley [Yates] was using."Danny Sprinkle

Sprinkle made it sound like it will be more of a game-to-game situation with Tucker and that the trainer would be keeping an eye on it. His reference to Yates' hand injury is important because Yates has been playing through it.
Sprinkle talked about how Yates has been icing his hand after every game, and he's still not fully 100%, but he's battling through the injury. This makes you speculate if Tucker will end up rehabbing in a similar way.
As he was reflecting on Minnesota, too, he noted that they have similar injury issues, too. It's one of those things that happens come this time of year, everyone and every team seems to be dealing with something. From stingers to big injuries.
The Huskies can't really afford any more injuries. While they are most likely out of the NCAA Tournament, there is still plenty to play for, and it will be important for Sprinkle's job to finish the season strong. The Huskies play Maryland and Rutgers next, and both should be wins, but after losing to Penn State, who knows?
