In a game that was firmly in hand for the Washington Huskies vs. Northwestern, a weird moment happened where Zoom Diallo was yelling at the Wildcats bench. The bench was yelling back, and even Chris Collins, the head coach for Northwestern, seemed to be having a few words with Diallo. It turned out to be offsetting penalties after the officials reviewed the replay, and the game moved on.

It ended up being a non-event, but it was testy and hot for a minute there, and looked like it could have been much worse. After the game, both coaches talked about what they knew about the incident. Danny Sprinkle for Washington basically said he needs to see more discipline, while Collins said, "It was nothing."

Danny Sprinkle was pretty short with his response, and his quote was, "I'm not happy. We have to be more disciplined." While Colilns had a bit more to say, "There was some back-and-forth with Diallo, and I don't know exactly if it was a player or a staffer...He was playing so great, I said, 'Hey! Just chill, man."

Collins went on to say the officials got it right, they did a great job of giving offsetting penalties, and that it ended up being "meaningless, nothing junk."

Collins was right though, Diallo had a great game with 22 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Diallo wasn't the only one north of 20 points as Hannes Steinbach had 22 and Wesley Yates had 21 points.

It was an important win for the Huskies as they are looking to find a way into the NCAA tournament. Currently on the outside looking in, but this was their second quad-1 win of the season and an important one to not only boost their resume but propel them through the end of the season as the schedule gets a bit easier for the Dawgs.
