Washington football odds and predictions at USC

ABC. Saturday, November 4. 7-2. 8-0. 818. 808. Huskies -3. 4:30 PM PT

Heisman Showdown

Both teams have a tough task ahead of them as they have been a bit sluggish the last few weeks. USC will be forced to keep up with Michael Penix Jr. and the Husky offense while the Huskies defense will try and contain 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams.

Penix and the Huskies’ offense looked to rediscover their rhythm last game against Stanford. The concern for Washington is if their defense can step up and hold off the opposing offense. They have allowed too many points from bad teams, which is not good for their playoff hopes. They shouldn’t be giving up so much to teams that should be easily beatable.

Prediction

This will be Washington’s first time playing at USC since 2015, and their first time playing USC at all since 2019. However, the Huskies outrank USC in total offense and defense; 5 vs. 11 and 95 vs. 111. I predict that Washington will come out with the win 45-42.
