The Washington football program has a lot of work ahead of them. Most of that is going to come in the off-season as major changes need to happen within the Athletics department.

The Huskies are coming off of a 24-17 loss to the UCLA Bruins and are now 2-4 on the season. The run defense has struggled all year but it’s the offense that continues to hold this team back.

This next week, Washington will head to Arizona to take on the 0-6 Arizona Wildcats. This season they have lost both of the away games that they have played.

While Arizona should typically be an easy team to beat, it’s difficult to be optimistic for a Huskies win considering how much of a mess their season has been.

Washington football vs. Arizona Wildcats Odds Week 8

Huskies vs. Wildcats Prediction Week 8

The Arizona Wildcats are having a worse season than the Washington Huskies are. The Wildcats are in last place in the Pac-12 South and are 0-6 on the year. The Wildcats offense averages 14 points a game while the defense allows 32 points again.

Arizona has not scored more than 19 points in a single game.

The Wildcats offense has been even more atrocious than the Huskies have. They have had three different quarterbacks who have over 70 attempted passes each. Altogether, they have thrown a total of 11 interceptions.

Arizona doesn’t have much of a run game going for them, which is a positive for Washington’s run defense, who have had trouble stopping the run all season.

While the Huskies offense still manages to find some way to points on the board, week after week it’s the secondary that continues to carry this team.

I predict a 28-14 Huskies win.
