July 2017 is heating up for the Washington Football team. The recruiting class of 2019 debuts with the commitment of four star quarterback Dylan Morris

Good things happen whenever Washington Football head coach Petersen takes to social media to give one of these:

And so it was yesterday, July 16, 2017, when the 2019 Washington Football team landed their first commitment.

This is the first of the 2019 class, and Dylan Morris is a good one.  Morris had begun to attract national level attention, as he had six offers, the most recent of which came from Notre Dame.  In fact, Morris was expected to land as a Fighting Irish commitment by the prognosticators at 247sports.com.

Thankfully they get it wrong sometimes.

Morris can play

While he is officially listed at 6-foot-0, 177 pounds, he is growing quickly. A more recent measurement reported in Seattle Times by Adam Jude had Morris at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds. By the time he steps onto the field in purple, you can expect him to check in over 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds. That’s an ideal size for NCAA football quarterbacks.

Morris joins 2018 quarterback recruits Jacab Sirmon and Colson Yankoff. Residing in Graham, Washington, he has thrown for over 4,000 yards and 42 touchdowns for the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles.

That kind of production gets noticed, and that landed Dylan offers from Notre Dame, California, Oregon, Nebraska, Oregon State and Washington State.
