Even if your are not a regular fan of the WNBA, this is the year for Washington Huskies fans to tune in and watch. Two Washington Huskies Women Basketball players could go early in round one. In fact, I can think of three reasons to watch

This is not a typical time of year for Washington Huskies fans to be thinking basketball. But all Huskies fans should be thinking basketball in the spring of 2017. Why?  Well by all calculations, the WNBA and NBA drafts project a University of Washington Husky as their respective top picks:  Kelsey Plum and Markelle Fultz.  I’m not certain if that has ever happened in the history of the WNBA/NBA leagues, but I’m certain it has not happened in the history of the University of Washington.

And so, once more, history is about to happen.  Please don’t miss it.

But I’m not writing in a vacuum.  I know schedules are tight, demands on your time is significant. You need more than my attestation that this is historically significant to the University of Washington.  And you deserve more.

That is why I have prepared three reasons why Washington Huskies Fans should tune to the 2017 WNBA Draft.
