Washington Huskies Kelsey Plum Is Top Consensus 2017 WNBA Draft pick, matching Markelle Fultz in 2017 NBA Draft.

Kelsey Plum is the consensus top pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft.  In fact, it’s not even close.  On one hand, It may have something to do with the record setting season she completed. On the other hand, it may have something to do with her NCAA Career scoring records.  In any case, she is ready to take the plunge to the WNBA.

She’s hired her agency. In fact, she’s hired one of the best.

and she’s on her way to New York City. In fact, both she and teammate Chantel Osahor are on their way.  And it happens soon.

So what’s it all about?  Well the WNBA is a twelve team league with a season that runs from May through September. The WNBA Draft is a three round draft where team’s select from the NCAA crop of graduates on April 13, 2017. Ten days later, on April 23, training camp begins for all teams.

The order of the 2017 WNBA Draft can be found at this link.  Kelsey plum will be just one of ten prospects invited to attend the event live.

But she will not be the lone representative for the University of Washington Huskies Women’s Basketball team on that prestigious night.  Chantel Osahor will also hear her name called. In fact, some have her going as high as a top ten pick as well.
