NFL Rumors Phi Eagles Target University Washington CB Sidney Jones
By Bret Stuter
The University of Washington Huskies are rather popular with NFL Teams. Latest NFL Rumors have Philadelphia Eagles interested in University of Washington cornerbacks Sidney Jones and Kenny King
The University of Washington Huskies are popular at the NFL Combine right now. NFL Rumors have already begun to sprout. It should come as no surprise, as the team has sent seven players to the combine, and six have been mocked in the first three rounds.
And so, there can be no mistake. If an NFL team seeks help in the defensive backfield, now is the team to talk. Each NFL team will eventually be talking to one, two, or three defensive backs who attended the University of Washington. Cornerback Sidney Jones, cornerback Kevin King, and safety Budda Baker will all hear their respective names called at the 2017 NFL Draft.
Right now, they are interviewing with the NFL teams who may do so. One such team is the Philadelphia Eagles. According to NFL.com’s “team needs”, the Philadelphia Eagles top need is cornerback and wide receiver.

Pair Of Aces
It just so happens that the University of Washington has three such players who might meet those needs, two of whom are very talented cornerbacks.
If you are going after a prospect, you might as well start at the top.
On one hand, as of now, cornerback Sidney Jones is ranked as the top cornerback in the nation.
On the other hand, his teammate, Kevin King, is not far behind.
Eagles Interested
Per the article, Turron Davenport lists both of the University of Washington cornerbacks as potential targets. Here’s what he has to say about Kenny King:
"“Washington cornerback Kevin King fits the Eagles need for a long corner. He said he has a meeting scheduled with the Eagles on Sunday. King played a lot of press coverage in college. He is used to being out on an island from going against so many spread offenses while in the PAC-12.”"
He then discusses the team interest in Sidney Jones IV:
"“Perhaps the top corner in the draft, Jones has been compared to former Washington and now Chiefs CB Marcus Peters. His press skills, as well as comfort on an island, make him a perfect fit for the Eagles.”"
As of right now, Sidney Jones is a top cornerback, which means he could be taken anywhere in the top 20 of the NFL While Kevin King is ranked slightly less, he possesses the versatility to play virtually any of the five defensive back positions. Versatility like that will not allow him to wait long to hear his name called in the 2017 NFL Draft.
