The Morning Haul 7/24

I hope everyone is up bright and early to catch Coach Sark on ESPN this morning. If not, make sure to follow Husky Haul on Twitter for some updates! I don’t know about you, but I am PUMPED about these Mariners, but this is a Huskies site so I digress. Onto the links!

Here’s a look at Kasen Williams’ draft outlook for 2014. Remember he’s only a junior so he has the option of coming back.

"While Sankey and Jenkins look exactly like their respective positions ask, Williams has a more unorthodox build for the position, but is an impressive talent that finds ways to win.  As a sophomore, Williams caught 77 passes for 878 yards and 6 touchdowns."

Two UW games make ESPN’s poll for the most shocking game of 2012 in the Pac-12. Hint: one is very good and one is very, very bad.

"Stanford had owned Washington of late, physically dominating the Huskies in the previous three meetings. It was pretty surprising to see the Huskies holding their own on the line of scrimmage, particularly the defense holding Stanford without an offensive TD."

Rant Sports calls Shaq Thompson a “player to watch” in the Pac-12 this season.

"With an expanded role next season, Thompson should get a chance to start showing what he is really capable of at outside linebacker…In 2013, Thompson should capitalize on his potential and break out as a major star in college football and one of the premier defenders in the Pac 12."

A former UW practice squad player, who was a fan favorite, is a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred earlier this month.

"Neither Leonard nor Pool have been charged, though charges are expected this week. In the July 1 incident at the Newcastle Bank of America, police said both suspects were armed with pistols and stole roughly $47,000 before fleeing on foot. Two prints were matched to Leonard and Pool, according to court documents."
