Are you ready to watch some Washington Huskies women’s basketball? If not, now is a great time to start gearing up to watch Tina Langley lead the Huskies as they get set to compete in the Big Ten this coming season.
We’re just days away from the start of the 2024-2025 Washington Huskies women’s basketball season and so, it’s time to get prepared for what this season might hold. And that includes learning a bit more about the landscape of the Big Ten.
And of course, that means we should go over where the Big Ten women’s basketball tournament is being held for the 2024-2025 women’s college basketball season.
If you happened to guess “well, it’ll probably be right smack dab in the middle of the country given the nature of the Big Ten to favor the city of Indianapolis for events and also this makes sense when considering how the Big Ten is now a coast-to-coast sort of entity,” then you’d be right!
As the Huskies get set for the first ever season of Washington women’s basketball in the Big Ten era, it’s important to remember that the Big Ten does seem to favor the city of Indianapolis.
And thus that influences where the Big Ten tournament will be held.
2024-2025 Big Ten women’s basketball tournament to be hosted in Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis
That’s right, the 32nd ever Big Ten women’s basketball tournament will be located in Gainbridge Fieldhouse. If you, like me, find yourself asking “what on earth is that building and why is that name so distinct,” then you should know that it’s the home of the Indiana Pacers and the Indiana Fever. It’s a pretty big deal and it’s located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis.
Here’s what you need to know about the 2024-2025 Big Ten women’s basketball tournament:
- Venue: Gainbridge Fieldhouse
- City: Indianapolis, Indiana
- Dates: March 5-9, 2025
- Local Radio: 1090 KPTR-AM
The Huskies are coming off a 16-15 season in 2023-2024 and they could certainly benefit from having a strong showing in the Big Ten this season. If Langley and the Huskies can find some success, beat a few conference teams, and make an appearance in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, then I think we’ll all feel pretty dang decent about this season.
