As Tina Langley and the Washington Huskies women’s basketball team get set for their fourth season together, the Huskies are actually also entering a new era. This isn’t a new coaching era or anything like that, but the Huskies will officially be a member of the Big Ten with this women’s basketball season.

That’s right, the move from the Pac-12 on over into the Big Ten is pretty much complete across the board at this point. We did the whole celebration deal with all four of the new Big Ten members a few months back. Now we get to see the UW women’s basketball team get started in the Huskies’ new conference home.

So, when will this season officially get under way? When will Langley and her Huskies face off against someone to start this Big Ten era of Washington Huskies women’s basketball?

When will the 2024-2025 Washington Huskies women’s basketball schedule start?

Langley and the Huskies will get the season started with four straight home games in Alaska Airlines Arena, giving Washington Huskies women’s basketball fans plenty of chances to get on down to Seattle to see this new era tip off.

But the first chance to see the Washington Huskies women’s basketball team as a member of the Big Ten? Well, that’ll happen on Monday, November 4 at 6 p.m. Pacific Time as the Huskies host Seattle University in Alaska Airlines Arena.

Here are a few of the other first few games for this brand new Big Ten team. It’s worth noting that all of these games will be happening at home:

  • Nov. 4: Seattle U (6 p.m.)
  • Nov. 7: Pacific (6 p.m.)
  • Nov. 10: Siena (2 p.m.)
  • Nov. 14: Eastern Washington (6 p.m.)

After that slate of home games, Washington will get the lovely chance to travel on over to Montana on November 17. UW will then return home for a couple games before heading on down to the Bahamas to compete in the Pink Flamingo Championship.
