Let’s keep winding down memory lane, looking over some of the most dominant wins in Washington Husky football history (from the past quarter of a decade, that is). And there are plenty of wins that are notable, enjoyable, and fun. There are plenty of wins that are against teams that the Huskies play on a regular basis.

And then there’s this particular win over Syracuse back in 2007. The score is a little odd, to be completely honest, and UW doesn’t happen to play against the Orange all that often.

That said, this is something to celebrate and enjoy. It’s one of the most dominant wins that the Washington Huskies have been able to secure in this millenia. And it’s a bright spot in what was an otherwise relatively forgettable season.

What is up with this 30 point win against the Syracuse Orange back in 2007?

This is, quite honestly, one of the very few things worth celebrating from the 2007 Washington Husky football season. Just not much that was truly good actually happened for the Huskies 18 years ago. That said, going across the country to the Carrier Dome to hand the Syracuse Orange a 30-point beating is pretty solid and certainly worth enjoying.

The Huskies happened to have 23 first downs while the Orange were held to just 13 first downs. Washington managed to get a total of 444 yards of offense while Syracuse was limited to just 207 offensive yards.

Oh, and the Huskies managed to commit absolutely zero turnovers in this game. It was lopsided and one sided and a ton of fun for Washington Husky football fans.
