Nobody should be surprised in any instance where the Washington Huskies are able to easily get a win over a team like Portland State. That should just be expected. UW should be able to go out and win a game like this by 30 or more points without things seeming even slightly close.
During the 2012 season, the Washington Huskies accomplished that. It’s not a huge accomplishment, I suppose, but it is cool that Washington was able to get a 39-point win over Portland State. This is one of the most dominant wins the Huskies have since the start of this century.
So, that should be celebrated and enjoyed a bit.
Washington absolutely controlled this game from start to finish. Front to back, this one was always in Washington’s control. The Huskies scored 31 points in the second quarter. There simply wasn’t anything the Vikings could do to keep up here. It just got out of hand well before Portland State could start scoring.

Keith Price and Bishop Sankey were remarkable and remarkably efficient when facing the Vikings. Portland State simply had no answer for what Washington wanted to do on offense. It was a comprehensive and holistic victory for UW.
