Jedd Fisch is already building a top 2027 class after delivering the No. 12 recruiting class in 2026. The Huskies have seven commitments already in next year's class and currently rank inside the top-10 at No. 7 according to 24/7 Sports. It was the commitment that came earlier today that pushed Washington into the top-10. 3-star defensive line recruit Matamatagi Uiagalelei from Mater Dei decided to make a verbal commitment to the Huskies.
This is now five defensive commitments and two wide receivers for the 2027 class. More on Uiagalelei:

It's early; five defensive commits and a pair of wide receivers. Who's next?
3-star Mater Dei DL Matamatagi Uiagalelei has committed to the Washington Huskies

Uiagalelei is the younger brother of former UW defensive lineman Ta’ita’i Uiagalelei, who recently graduated from Washington and ran out of eligibility. He was a transfer that followed Fisch from Arizona, who recorded 85 career tackles and 6.5 sacks. The older Uiagalelei's experience at Washington and Fisch's ties with the family certainly helped the cause of bringing in the younger brother.
If you recognize that last name and it's not from Tai'ita'i, then maybe it's from the fact that Matamatagi is also the cousin of Oregon edge Matayo Uiagalelei, and the most famous of the Uiagalelei clan is former Oregon State (FSU and Clemson) QB DJ Uiagalelei.
Matamatagi had 13 offers from all over, including Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Miami, Michigan, and more. He ultimately decided to play where his older brother called him in his final season. He comes from a program that is known to build and prepare top-notch FBS talent, Mater Dei.
The 2027 class for Jedd Fisch is just getting started, and Fisch has his lures in the water all over. As of now, with seven commitments, two 4-stars, and five 3-stars, it's good for a top-10 class.
