Washington Husky fans weigh in after dreadful road loss to Indiana Hoosiers

Another game away from Husky Stadium, another infuriating loss for Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies. UW has been abysmal in games outside of Seattle this season and that trend continued Saturday as Washington fell flat on the road in Bloomington, Indiana.

Part of that is because the Indiana Hoosiers are really, really good. They look like a playoff contender. And right now, the Hoosiers are 8-0. Unfortunately for us, the Washington Huskies are not. UW now, after a 31-17 road loss to an Indiana team that was without its starting quarterback, sits at 4-4 on the season.

That, my friends, is suboptimal.

The Huskies didn’t look great on Saturday either. The offense (outside of Jonah Coleman) really struggled for much of this game. Will Rogers wasn’t sharp at all and threw two picks, one of which ended up getting returned for a touchdown.

While there are critiques to be made of UW’s defense, it didn’t really do all that terribly. It just didn’t have the depth to go four quarters with a team that looks fully and completely capable of fighting for a spot in the College Football Playoffs this season.

And of course, Washington Husky fans have some thoughts on the affair.

The game wasn’t fun! None of it was fun. Just, you know, dreadful stuff to sit back and watch.

Jedd Fisch has a lot of work to do if he wants to get Washington Husky fans back on his side. UW has shown some potential all throughout this season, but the flaws in this team have been real present in recent weeks and that’s a problem.

It is worth noting that a ton has changed from last season to this season. But still, this sort of performance was painful to see, even if you did have low expectations for what the Huskies would be capable of accomplishing.

I don’t know exactly how the Huskies will move forward from here. Next week, Washington will host the USC Trojans in what is almost certainly a must-win game if UW wants to go bowling this season.
