Well, Thaddeus Dixon has been ejected from the Washington Huskies' huge road game against the Penn State Nittany Lions. After a targeting penalty that was, to be completely honest, a little controversial and infuriating (as all targeting penalties tend to be), Dixon, a Washington Huskies defensive back, was ejected from the game.

Oh, and Penn State very quickly scored a touchdown to take a lead 7-0 over the Washington Huskies, a lead that Penn State is carrying over into the second quarter.

And it shouldn't shock anyone that Washington fans aren't happy with that penalty, how Dixon ended up getting ejected from the game, and the overall situation as the Huskies take on a national title contender on the road.

Washington Husky fans react after Thaddeus Dixon ejected for targeting penalty on tackle

Here's how Washington Husky fans are reacting to the penalty:

It's hard not to blame Washington fans for being upset, given when the penalty occurred and the fact that it led to a Penn State touchdown. Not only was it something that derailed a key portion of Washington's defense, it ended up resulting in a touchdown for the Nittany Lions.

It was absolutely brutal and the Huskies truly did not catch a break when it came to this penalty. And now, Dixon has to sit out the remainder of the game. That could be a huge problem for the Huskies as they try to get a road upsetin Beaver Stadium.

The Huskies will need to find a way to get a win and the defense is going to need someone to play beyond their potential. So far, it looked like Dixon was going to be that sort or guy, but he got penalized for a tack that, generally speaking, didn't really seem all that bad.

Here's to hoping the Huskies are able to figure something out. A win here would lock up a spot in a bowl game and would help the Hsukies redeem their season a bit. A loss would make a bowl trip that much more difficult to obtain.
