The Washington Huskies have a pretty intriguing task up ahead of them as they take on the Louisville Cardinals. There’s no real history between these two teams on the gridiron. This is the first time that the two have met. Interestingly enough, there isn’t much history between the head coach of the Washington Husky football program and the head coach in Louisville.

During a press conference, Jedd Fisch was asked about if he had a connection with Louisville’s head coach, Jeff Brohm, or any member of the Cardinals’ coaching staff. And as it turns out, Fisch doesn’t know anyone on that staff.

But that doesn’t mean that Fisch isn’t familiar with what Brohm and his staff are known for or what they’ve been able to accomplish with the Cardinals over the past couple seasons.

“I think I might have met Jeff once, but no experience there,” Fisch explained. “ I know he does a fantastic job.”

Specifically, Fisch is impressed with the way that Brohm’s offenses have looked.

“I know he does a great job coaching quarterbacks,” Fisch noted. “I have seen the production of his offenses over the years and, let’s say, I’m very much aware of how good of an offensive coach he is and how good of a team they have.”

That seems like a pretty good compliment given Fisch’s own background and resume. And he’s right, Louisville has been pretty impressive over the past couple seasons, especially on offense. Brohm and his staff have done well with the Cardinals.

“He's now been there two years, I believe, and both years his teams have been very competitive, very good, and we're looking forward to that challenge,” Fisch continued.

The Huskies are taking on a team that, in the past two seasons, has won 18 games. Brohm is doing a great job of getting the Cardinals established as a solid program and this is a team that Washington can’t overlook. Especially this year when UW is still very early in the process of rebuilding.
