Well, the latest Big Ten standings don’t look too good for Danny Sprinkle and the Washington Husky men’s basketball team. But that shouldn’t shock anyone who has been paying attention. UW is in the midst of a rough stretch, losing six games in a row.
Unsurprisingly, the Huskies are the only team in the Big Ten sitting squarely at the bottom of the Big Ten conference rankings. It stinks and isn’t fun to pay much attention to, but it’s just part of the rebuilding process that Sprinkle and UW are having to go through.
On the other end of the Big Ten standings, straight at the top, sit the Michigan State Spartans, who boast an unblemished 9-0 record in Big Ten play and are 18-2 overall so far this season. The Spartans have managed to win 13 games in a row and they’re unbeaten at home.
They’re, uh, pretty dang good.
Let’s take a look at the latest Big Ten standings and see what things look like ahead of Washington’s matchup with the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday.

Interestingly enough, some of the other struggling Big Ten teams are on the record up ahead for Sprinkle and the Huskies. The Minnesota Golden Gophers? That game is on Saturday, February 1. The Huskies will also get the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Northwestern Wildcats, Penn State Nittany Lions, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, and Iowa Hawkeyes before the month of February is over. Maybe a win (or a few) can happen in that stretch?
