Things didn’t really go well for the Washington Huskies as they took on the top-ranked Oregon Ducks Saturday evening. Facing off against the No. 1 team in the nation didn’t end well for Jedd Fisch and the Huskies. Washington lost, on the road, by a score of 49-21.

That wasn't fun.

But, at least bowl eligibility wasn’t riding on this game. Because the Ducks won by 28 points in a game that, at times, felt a lot more lopsided than the score indicated.

Washington just couldn’t keep up with the Ducks this season and that three-game winning streak that UW had in this rivalry is now coming to an end. Oregon’s rushing attack just bulldozed the Huskies as the Ducks ran for a remarkable 226 yards.

Meanwhile, due to an absurd number of sacks, Washington’s rushing total tallied up at just 43 yards on the ground. Far from where the Huskies want to be offensively. But, well, that’s where they ended up being.

Washington fell behind early and simply didn’t have enough firepower to keep up. There certainly was no slowing the Oregon pass rush, that sacked Demond Williams an absurd 10 different times in this game. And now, here’s how UW fans are reacting to the game.

Washington Husky fans sound off after frustrating road loss to Oregon Ducks

Well, the game stunk. Just no fun to be had.

There were a ton of frustrations with the offensive line:

But also, a lot of folks are looking forward to next season:

And now on to a bowl game for the Huskies. Washington has a lot of work ahead of it for the Huskies to get back to the sort of program that they want to be. But, there are a few key pieces that Jedd Fisch and the Huskies can build around. And that’s exciting to see.
