The arrival of Thanksgiving week means it's also time for some of the most exciting games in college hoops. Feast Week is the part of the schedule where elite programs travel to neutral sites to take on non-conference opponents in brief, bracket or round-robin style tournaments. Washington will be back in a familiar place for theirs.
The Huskies will play in the 2025 Acrisure Holiday Classic in Palm Springs, California, the same tournament they won a season ago. It is a four-team invitational where each participating team plays two games: the winners of the first contests meet for a first-place game, while the losers play each other for third place. It's part of the greater "Acrisure Series," which features six other teams in a separate draw.
This year, Washington is joined by Nevada, its first-round opponent, as well as Colorado and San Francisco on the other side of the bracket. Last season, the Huskies beat Santa Clara and Colorado State to take the crown and become just the second champion in the tournament's history, as it was founded in 2023.
However, it's going to take a greater performance for this season's team than it has given in its recent games, as Washington is coming off a loss to Baylor and a double-overtime win over Southern (a team the Huskies were favored by 24.5 points against) in two of the last three games. Additionally, Washington is currently on a six-game losing streak against Nevada.
Thursday's semifinal game between the Huskies and Wolf Pack will be at 1:30 p.m. PT and televised on the CBS Sports Network, while the championship and third-place game will be televised on truTV. If the Huskies win tomorrow, the championship game will be at 1:30 p.m. PT on Friday. If they lose, the third-place game will be at 11 a.m. PT on Friday.
