Will Rogers keeping options open and Washington is still in play

Will Rogers was Kalen DeBoer's succession plan at quarterback, but Jedd Fisch's plan may look a lot different. Rogers is back in the transfer portal, but keeping every option on the table, including the Huskies.

527. . Head Coach: Kirby Smart. . . . Georgia Bulldogs. . 3. team

If Rogers is willing to consider Alabama as a possible fit, despite the lack of an available starting job, then maybe he’ll give the Bulldogs a look. Kirby Smart has an NIL war chest unlike any other and is on the hunt for another veteran quarterback to add to his impressive QB room.

Carson Beck is the entrenched starter after a great season, but Rogers could easily be considered QB, ahead of Brock Vandagriff and Gunner Stockton. If Kirby promises Rogers the QB2 spot, and a chance to play if Beck goes down, then heading back to the SEC, but this time with a perennial powerhouse, could be enticing.

Rogers got kicked around by teams like Georgia for his four seasons at Mississippi State, so he may prefer to do some kicking, even if it's from the sidelines with a headset and a clipboard for the majority of the year.
