When Will Rogers transferred to the Washington Huskies away from the Mississippi State Bulldogs, he arrived in Seattle as an already proven and productive quarterback. While in Starkville, Rogers set numerous Mississippi State football records (thanks in part to Mike Leach’s Air Raid).
Now he’s got another impressive milestone to brag about and he finally got there thanks to the offense designed by UW’s very own Jedd Fisch and Brennan Carroll. In the first quarter of the 2024 edition of the Apple Cup, the Washington Husky quarterback launched his 100th touchdown pass to get the Huskies on the board.
Through the entire drive, Rogers was effective, connecting on four consecutive pass attempts with four different receiving threats and moving the Huskies down the field with ease. And after four plays, Washington found itself up 7-3 and Rogers had earned the 100th touchdown pass in his career.
It’s a pretty remarkable feat that many aren’t able to achieve.

You’ve got to see this play (especially if you’re a fan of either the Washington Huskies or Mississippi State Bulldogs):
That’s just one heck of an impressive pass. Let’s go over the entirety of that drive once more, shall we?
It started off with a 17-yard connection with Jonah Coleman, who actually caught the pass four yards behind the line of scrimmage and then scampered all the way down to the UW 42 yard line. Rogers then chucked a 7-yard pass into Keith Reynolds’ hands and followed that up with a 20-yard pass to Keleki Latu.
After that? Well, you’ve already seen that beautiful 31-yard pass from Rogers to Giles Jackson right in the end zone.
Rogers has now thrown six touchdown passes with the Huskies this season and it sure looks like he’s capable of tossing a few more before it’s all said and done this season.
