Well, did anyone (honestly and truthfully) expect the Alabama Crimson Tide to lose to Vanderbilt? The Commodores managed to come out on top of a thrilling shootout with the top-ranked team in the nation. And of course, Washington Husky fans were keeping a close eye on the game.
Why?
Well, it’s not because UW fans just happen to love SEC football. It’s because the Huskies got to see Kalen DeBoer, their former head coach who left after leading the Huskies to a national title game appearance, come up short against a perennial underdog in Nashville.
Alabama suffered a truly humbling defeat to Vandy. The Crimson Tide had no answers for the problems that Vanderbilt’s offense posed and Washington Husky fans? Well, they really got a bit of a chuckle out of the whole ordeal.
Washington Husky fans sound off as former UW head coach Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide stumble vs. Vanderbilt
Vandy coming out on top of this game is just incredible. The Commodores looked really solid across the board and Alabama just didn’t have enough answers to keep up with a team that was significantly less talented than them.
It’s absurd and stunning in so many ways.
Gonna be one helluva 12-team playoff, folks.

Kalen DeBoer is about to feel it all. This is gonna be bad.

DeBoer is definitely going to be catching some criticism in Tuscaloosa after that loss. It was absolutely shocking seeing DeBoer’s team lose like this, especially given the fact that Alabama managed to beat the Georgia Bulldogs last week.
Fascinating

And yeah, Washington Husky fans are definitely intrigued by this game. As they should be!
Still bitter. Go Vandy!

It’ll be intriguing to see how the season plays out down the stretch given everything that will happen between now and when the college football playoff picture is decided.
In a 12 team playoff, Alabama can lose another game to some unranked opponent and still get in the playoff.......

And yeah, Washington Husky fans loved seeing that score.

The Huskies, and their fans, have a right to be upset with DeBoer. Maybe one day some of those hard feelings will chill out a bit, or maybe not. Who knows? College football is funny sometimes. Like when the top ranked team loses to a program that is often overlooked. That’s kinda funny.
