Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies have seen plenty of changes over the past eight months. Washington Husky football fans certainly know just how much things have changed on Montlake this calendar year. It wasn’t really that long ago that Kalen DeBoer and the Huskies were in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against the Michigan Wolverines.

Now, Fisch and a bunch of new faces (both on the coaching staff and across the Huskies’ 2024 roster) will be representing the University of Washington this season.

Oh, and that’s not even getting into the fact that the playoff is now much larger than it was and the Huskies and Wolverines are now both in the same conference.

A lot has changed recently.

So, let’s start brushing up on a few things as Fisch and the Huskies get set to start the 2024 Washington Husky football season. Let’s go over the initial depth chart for this season and look around at how Fisch has things set up for the Huskies to meet up with Weber State this weekend.

With quarterback seeing a rather significant vacancy following the departure of Michael Penix, Will Rogers III left the Mississippi State Bulldogs to come play in Seattle. And he’s currently set to start at quarterback for the Huskies.

Jonah Coleman followed Fisch from Arizona and he is slated to start at running back for Washington. Given Fisch’s familiarity there, that seems really intriguing to watch this season. Senior Cameron Davis is set to be Coleman’s backup, which offers plenty of depth for the position.

At wide receiver, Denzel Boston, Giles Jackson, and Jeremiah Hunter are slated as the starters for the Huskies. All three of these guys bring some valuable experience, which will help as they figure out this new offensive system.

Up front, Drew Azzopardi, Enokk Vimahi, D’Angal Titialii, Gaard Memmelaar, and Soana Faasolo are tasked with starting on the offensive line for the Huskies. Quentin Moore is listed as the starting tight end for Washington this season.

Over on the defensive side of things, Isaiah Ward, Sebastian Valdez, Jayvon Parker, and Zach Durfee are anchoring Washington’s defensive line. Alphonzo Tuputala and Carson Bruener bring a wealth of experience to the linebacker position, which will be valuable with the changes the defense is making.

Jordan Shaw is listed as the starter out at nickel while Ephesians Prysock (or Elijah Jackson) and Thaddeus Dixon (or Darren Barkins) are slated as the starters for cornerback for the Huskies. Kamren Fabiculanan is set at safety and Makell Esteen or Cameron Broussard are listed as “or” for the other safety spot.
