No. 3: Washington State running back Djouvensky Schlenbaker

Honestly, this one is a weird pick as the third opposing player to watch because he's really not very efficient in his running. In week 1, he had 4 carries for 20 yards. That isn't all that impressive and if it was fantasy football, would be a guy you wouldn't want to play or even carry on your team.

Then again against Texas Tech, he carried 11 times for a whopping 27 yards. That's it. That's just very underwhelming for a runningback. So maybe you are wondering? Why the heck did you pick him as the third player to watch? Are the Cougars really that bad that there is no one else on the team to pick?

Actually, two things should be noted about Schlenbaker, first is that he's not the primary running back, he's the change of pace back. Sure, maybe you're still confused on why I picked him. You will understand in a second... and it's this stat - he has three rushing TDs in two games.

This man finds the endzone. Every now and then there is a tailback that is best inside the goaline. This is Schlenbaker. He isn't explosive but he can push his way into the endzone and knows how to take bodies with him.

Considering that the Huskies have limited the other team to ZERO touchdowns on the season, I felt the pick for the TD machine was valid. If someone breaks that streak for UW it feels like it will be Mr. Goal-to-Go in Schlenbaker. He's a player to watch.
