With the move into the Big Ten, a lot of changes have taken place for both the Washington Huskies and the USC Trojans. But one thing that we’ll get to see continue is the longstanding tradition of homecoming. It’s hard to imagine the Washington Huskies ditching homecoming, that’s kinda out there in terms of radical changes that could happen to traditions.

And this year, as we get to see the Huskies hold onto some sense of continuity from its past in the midst of a ton of change, we’ll get to see Jedd Fisch and the Washington Husky football team meet up with USC Trojans for homecoming.

A familiar face for Washington football fans. An old college football tradition. A little bit of normalcy packed right into the midst of some chaos and monumental changes that are taking place during the 2024 Washington Husky football season.

That’s kinda nice.

Lincoln Riley and the Trojans are hoping to find some sort of stability as a program in 2024. Meanwhile, Fisch and Washington are looking for a bit of stability of their own as the Huskies are now reshaping and redefining their program a bit following all of the departures from last season.

So, it’ll be pretty interesting to see how these two former longtime Pac-12 foes match up against each other this season as they both get settled into the Big Ten. Both of these teams are being overlooked for a variety of reasons and it’ll be fascinating to see how they measure up against each other.

During homecoming, the Huskies’ athletics department is urging fans to show up early to really celebrate this moment of Washington Husky football spirit and tradition.

From the Blanket Parade to tailgating (or sailgating) and enjoying Husky football history, this is a good chance to enjoy The Greatest Setting in College Football, even with everything that has changed about college football in recent seasons.
