Another week of Washington Huskies football, another strong win for the Huskies. In his second game of leading the Huskies (and his second home game in Husky Stadium), Jedd Fisch was able to lead UW to a solid 21-point victory over the Eastern Michigan Eagles.

It wasn’t the most glamorous win ever, nor was it the most dominant win ever. Heck, there was even a sluggish start that ended up leading some folks to call for a quarterback change (even though the early issues on offense weren’t just something you could pin on the quarterback).

But, it’s always a good thing to go out and get a 30-9 victory at home in week two. There’s never a reason to really complain about something like that. Washington looked solid for much of the game and executed what was seemingly a solid game plan.

Grading the Huskies: Washington gets solid 30-9 win over Eastern Michigan

Would it have been nice to a faster start for the offense?

Sure, I don’t love the fact that Washington has been held scoreless in both of the first quarters that the Huskies have played in so far this season, but I can still celebrate this win and be happy with how the Huskies looked. Because Fisch has this team unbeaten so far. And that’s something worth celebrating and enjoying.

There are a few different angles that we’re going to take with this one. But the premise is pretty simple. Let’s look at the highs and lows across the game and evaluate them for three different groupings: offense, defense, special teams.

So, let’s go ahead and start grading the Huskies in their showing against the Eastern Michigan Eagles.
