No. 3: Washington Huskies vs. Michigan Wolverines (week 6)

This one is going to be a fascinating matchup. A rematch of last season’s national championship game and at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium, this game will provide the Washington Huskies with a great chance to get something of a significant win to brag about with this season.

But it’s not a guarantee. It’s actually very much a bit of a coin toss right now. Weirdly enough, at this moment, this is the third highest chance at winning that Washington has on its schedule, if you ask the ESPN Analytics Matchup Predictor tool and ESPN’s Football Power Index.

There’s a lot that can change between now and this week six matchup. Right now, the number crunching machines are giving the Huskies a 52.7 percent chance of beating the Michigan Wolverines in this rematch.

All things considered, that’s a decent shot at beating Michigan.

It’s great that the Huskies get a home game against this traditional Big Ten power instead of having to play on the road in Ann Arbor. This would give Jedd Fisch and Washington the perfect opportunity to make a statement in the Big Ten.

After losing the Apple Cup to a scrappy Washington State team that is punching above its weight right now, Fisch and the Huskies need something to brag about. Beating Michigan later this season would certainly count for that.
