3 must watch Big 10 games: College football schedule, week 3
By Mark Knight
No. 1: Oregon at Oregon State
A rivalry matchup is always a fun one to watch and this is an intriguing matchup even if you aren't a Husky fan. It's the Civil War and it can get weird and wild, neither team wants to lose it.
However, it is even more fun for a Husky fan because the enemy of your enemy is your friend, or whatever. Oregon has been so underwhelming this season with two very unimpressive wins against Idaho schools in Idaho and Boise State.
Those were both at Autzen Stadium and this matchup is their first road game.
If I was an Oregon fan, which thank God I am not... seriously can you imagine such an existence? I would be nervous about the first road game of the year after two very lackluster wins at home. But to make matters worse, it's at one of your rival schools in Oregon State.
A school that always has the Civil War circled on the calendar as the "MUST WIN" game.
Neither team has lost, both sit at 2-0. The Beavers have looked much more impressive against their opponents and get this, they also played an Idaho school in Idaho State.
They handled them 38-15 and then they went on the road to take on San Diego St who they shutout with a score of 21-0. This could be a matchup in which the Ducks find their first humbling experience of the year. At least it's setting up to be that way. It's definitely a game to watch.
The game is at 12:30pm PST on Fox Oregon is listed currently as 16 point favorites.
