Washington Husky fans aren’t having much fun right now and that’s because the Huskies fell flat against the Washington State Cougars in the 2024 Apple Cup. Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies came into the 2024 Apple Cup with the chance to get a decent non-conference win over an in-state rival before heading into Big Ten play.

But, unfortunately for Fisch and the Huskies, Washington State came out on top in a game chock full of mistakes and penalties for the Huskies.

UW really had a chance to win this one, but those errors ended up dooming a team with plenty of potential. And unfortunately for Washington fans, the Huskies (and their fans) will get to hear about this loss for the foreseeable future (from neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family).

Thus is the peril that comes with losing an in-state rivalry. I mean, it just sucks sometimes.
