Jonah Coleman’s solid season continues on. The powerful Washington Huskies running back has continued to play in remarkable fashion as he ran for 95 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Huskies to a 12-point win over the UCLA Bruins.
And with that sort of showing, the Huskies’ star now has over 1,000 rushing yards on the season.
Against the UCLA Bruins’ run defense, the talented running back averaged 4.5 yards per carry. Coleman also managed to snag a catch for 10 more yards from scrimmage. With his two rushing touchdowns against the Bruins, one came from 15 yards out while the other was on a two-yard run that helped put this game out of reach.
Coleman has been a force all season long and the Huskies have certainly needed him to play up to his potential as they made the move from the Pac-12 into the Big Ten.

When Jedd Fisch was hired on Montlake, he left a pretty solid roster behind him in Tucson, Arizona. But thankfully, Fisch was able to get Coleman to leave the Arizona Wildcats behind and to continue his career in Seattle.
It seems to be working out for everyone right now. Coleman has a deep understanding of this offense and has demonstrated just how explosive he can be in Fisch’s offense.
On the season, Coleman is now up to 173 carries, 1008 rushing yards, nine rushing touchdowns, and 21 receptions for 160 yards. He’s been the perfect sort of feature back in Jedd Fisch’s offense and it would be great for the Huskies to get him back for one more season to go along with Demond Williams Jr. in the backfield.
We’ll see what comes of that. For now, Washington Husky fans will get to see the Huskies face off against the Oregon Ducks in a couple weeks.
