The Washington Huskies haven't done a lot out of the transfer portal this offseason, putting most of their eggs into the recruiting basket. Washington head coach Jedd Fisch may have done a little bit of both baskets with his next get. A top recruit from last season, who redshirted at Ohio State in 2025, is now ready to break out on a new team.
Bodpegn Miller, a former 4-star recruit and a top-15 athlete in the 2025 recruiting class, is now headed to Washington. This is a huge win for Washington, and the timing was perfect to grab him for 2026 and not 2025. Read below on why.

The first is this: Miller didn't play much wide receiver in high school. He was a quarterback and defensive back. However, Brian Hartline over at Ohio State saw his potential as a big-bodied and freakish athlete at wide receiver. So, he wasn't ready to play last season, and Hartline wanted him to redshirt to develop and become an elite receiver. He spent 2025 doing just that; however, the dividends will pay off for Washington and not Ohio State.
The second is that Miller has gotten bigger and stronger in the last season. While the development at wide receiver is a huge key, he's put on way more muscle at Ohio State. He was listed at 6'4 and 180 pounds coming out of high school. He's now at 196 according to Ohio State's bio page of Miller.
Fisch is also in need of finding a WR1 and even a WR2 for this coming season. While many assume it will be Dezmen Roebuck at the WR1 next season, it's not for sure. He will certainly have a major role, but the competition is fairly wide open at wide receiver, and yet there are enough players there for Fisch to take a chance on an athlete like Miller.
This is an important addition to round out the transfer portal class ahead of next season.
